How to unlock 3G modems

You can easily unlock 3G modems with the help of an unlocking software. There are loads of such unlocking softwares online but you have to be very careful with the one you download and install to your pc because lately, some hackers are now molding virus all in the name of an unlocking software. But you can also unlock them online, and below are the procedure:
1. Get your Modem IMEI number (the IMEI number is a 15-digit number printed at the back of your modem) it usually starts with 35 e.g 351234567890000.
Write down the number together with the maker of the Modem e.g. ZTE or Huawei.
2. Log on to the Internet, and go to this link: http://a-zgsm.com/calculator/ (for zte modem), or http://a-zgsm.com/huawei.php (for huawei modem).
3. Enter the 15-digit IMEI number you have written down into the space provided for IMEI and the Security Code generated from the website into the space provided for Security Code. (before you enter the IMEI number of your modem, make sure you confirm from the website screen display that the model number of your modem is supported e.g ZTE SFR 231, ZTE SFR 232, ZTE SFR 341 and so on... )
4. Click on the Calculator Button and your code will be provided to you in this format: Unlock: 37661140 or NCK = 37661140 ( this is your unlock code ).
5. Now remove the SIM CARD from the Modem and insert another sim card different from the network you have being using on the modem, e.g if your modem is At&t, Air1, MTN etc remove it and insert Glo, Airtel, Etisalat etc.
6. Plug the modem into your PC USB port, open the dashboard from where you connect to the internet.
7. After some seconds or minutes,a small window will pop up requesting for the unlock code
8. Type in to the box your unlock code correctly as discussed above and click enter.
9. If the unlocking was successfully, the small window will automatically disappear and this shows that your usb modem has been unlocked successfully.
