Consecration prayers to the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

The Devotion to the most precious Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is not a new thing in the Holy Catholic Church. It is even as old as the first "Holy Thursday" when Jesus instituted the priesthood and the Holy Eucharist. The proclamation of the following words on the night before He suffered: "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in the memory of me. This is God’s new covenant sealed with my Blood which is poured for you" (Luke 22:19-20), evoked from the apostles a sublime religious enthusiasm or reverence. Before then, Jesus has performed great miracles, but they saw the miracles of miracles in the institution of the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrifice of the Cross, and the Sacrifice of the New Law, the most admirable Sacrament, the wondrous presence, and the abiding memorial of Christ’s Passion. We must continue to proclaim the Lord’s death until He returns (Corinthians 11:26).
And as long as the Church continues to celebrate the Holy Eucharist in obedience to the Lord’s command, the church will always maintain the word "Do this in memory of me" as her devotion to the Precious Blood and Body of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Receiving Him in the Holy Communion and actively participating in the Holy Mass is the best way for us to show Devotion to the Eucharistic Lord.THE CONSECRATION TO THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
Conscious, merciful Saviour, of my nothingness and of thy sublimity, I cast myself at thy feet and thank Thee for the many proofs of Thy grace shownto me, Thy ungrateful creature. I thank Thee especially for delivering me by Thy Precious Blood from the destructive power of satan. In the presence of my dear Mother Mary, my guardian Angel, my Patron Saint and of the whole company of Heaven, I dedicate myself voluntarily, with a sincere heart, O dearest Jesus, to thy Precious Blood, by which thou hast redeemed the world from sin, death and hell. I promise Thee, with the help of Thy grace, and to the utmost of my strength, to stir up and foster devotion to Thy Precious Blood, the price of our redemption, so that Thy adorable Blood may be honoured and glorified by all. In this way, I wish to make reparation for my disloyalty towards Thy Precious Blood of love, and to make satisfaction to Thee for many profanations which men commit against that Precious price of their salvation. O would that my own sins, my coldness, and all the acts of disrespect I have ever committed against Thee, O holy Precious Blood could be undone. Behold, O dearest Jesus, I offer toThee the love, honour and adoration, which Thy most Mother, Thy faithful disciples and all Saints have offered to Thy Precious Blood. I ask Thee to forget my earlier faithlessness and coldness, and to forgive all who offend Thee. Sprinkle me, O divine saviour, and all men with Thy Precious Blood, so that we, O Crucified Love, may love Thee from now on with all our hearts, and worthily honour the price of our salvation. Amen.

There are fifty eight (58) woundsin the Sacred Head of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and nine thousand seven hundred and ninety eight (9,798) drops of Blood from His Sacred Head.
