The term marriage can be concisely defined in an abridged form as a union between a man and a woman. But some factors do militate against this unionism, and these factors can be nimbly traced down to the mistakes we do make when choosing a life partner! That is why I decided to drop down some required factors that we should adhere to, before choosing a life partner!

CHARACTER BASICS
1. HOW DOES SHE SHOW SUBMISSIVENESS IN THE FAMILY, AND THE CONGREGATION?
Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, be subject to your husbands, as to the Lord.

Honour your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the lord your God gives you.

3. WHO ARE HER FRIENDS?
He who walks with wise men becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

4. WHAT DOES SHE TALK ABOUT?
The good man out of his good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil man, out of his evil treasure produce evil; for out of abundance of his heart, his mouth speaks.

The Lord loves those who hate evil; he preserves the lives of His saints, He delivers them from the hands of the wicked.

9. HOW DOES SHE DEMONSTRATE HER LOVE FOR JEHOVAH?
Everyone who believes that Jesus is a child of God, and everyone who loves the parent, loves the child.

1. IS SHE INDUSTRIOUS?
She girds her loins with strength and makes her arms strong. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hand holds the spindle. She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet. She makes her coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.

4. IS SHE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS?
She opens her hands to the poor, and reaches out her hands to the needy.

1. IS SHE CONTENTIOUS?
It is better to live in a desert land, than with a contentious and fretful woman.

2. DOES SHE TRY TO INVOLVE YOU IN A SEXUAL MISCONDUCT?
Now, the works of the flesh are plain: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatory, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissension, party spirit, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

3. IS SHE VERBALLY OR PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE?
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour and slander be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

4. DOES SHE NEED TO USE ALCOHOL TO HAVE A GOOD TIME?
Wine is a mocker; a strong drink a brawler; and whoever is led astray by it is not wise!
